State Route 79,Winchester Road Widening
Project Summary
The State Route 79 Improvement Project widened Winchester Road from two to four lanes over a seven-mile stretch. Winchester Road is a state highway (SR-79) and all project design and construction was performed under Caltrans oversight and in accordance with Caltrans design and construction methods.
Our Role
IFE was retained by Riverside County Transportation Department to prepare geotechnical design and materials reports. Our reports addressed alternative pavement construction and reconstruction strategies, corrosion, drainage structures, retaining walls, and slope stability.
