Ramona Expressway Widening & Reconstruction

Project Summary
The Ramona Expressway Project widened five miles of road from two to five lanes and improved associated storm drains along the Expressway in San Jacinto, CA.
Our Role
IFE conducted the geotechnical investigation and provided compaction and materials testing. During overexcavation and site grading, we performed compaction testing and documented excavation removal limits.
Services:
- Testing and observation of over-excavation and fill placement in widening areas, roadway subgrade and base courses, storm drain backfill, associated sidewalks, curb and gutter, and other appurtenances
- Laboratory soil testing for maximum density, sand equivalent, sieve analysis, and R-value testing
- Asphalt concrete testing for density and other attributes
- Concrete cylinder compression testing
