IFE Role
IFE was retained by the Ronald McDonald for Good Times for geotechnical
investigations, compaction and materials testing during construction. IFE services
commenced in 1994 and continue today with the growth and improvement for the
campsite. Our services have included logging, sampling and analysis for subsurface investigation, geological, geoseismic and liquefaction analysis, cone
penetration testing, on-site wastewater design, asphalt concrete pavement
recommendations, observation and compaction testing during all earthwork,
laboratory soil testing for maximum density, sieve analysis, and corrosivity and asneeded geotechnical consultation during project construction.
- Site geology review and geologic mapping
- Regional and local earthquake fault and seismicity evaluation
- 10 exploratory borings to depths of 50 feet
- Laboratory testing for geotechnical design parameters
- Seismic refraction survey for excavation and rippability analysis
- Infiltration testing
- Stability analysis of proposed cut and fill slopes
- Development of recommendations for design and construction
- Preparation of a comprehensive engineering geology and geotechnical investigation report
