Hemet Unified School District (2020-2022)
Little Lake Elementary School is over 100 years old and is one of the oldest schools in the Hemet community. The modernization
project included construction of two classroom buildings, a kindergarten building, 14 new portable buildings, outdoor lunch shelters, new
playground areas, parking lot expansion, walkways, landscaping and utility tie-in throughout the campus.
IFE Role
IFE was retained by Hemet Unified School District to perform geotechnical investigation/geological
hazards reviews for the Little Lake Elementary School Modernization Project. Our investigation included
13 subsurface exploartory borings, laboratory testing and analysis. The primary issue requiring
mitigation was undocumented fill soil and loose alluvial soil which had the potential for seismically
induced settlement. The geotechnical investigation report included engineering analysis, seismic
settlement analysis,
geologic hazards report
and site grading
recommendations.
During construction IFE
provided all of the
requied DSA testing
and inspection.
