Inland Foundation Engineering, Inc. (IFE)

Inland Foundation Engineering, Inc. (IFE) has been a recognized leader in developing solutions for demanding geotechnical engineering and materials testing projects since we were founded in 1978. We have provided geotechnical engineering and materials testing services for more than 17,500 public and private projects and have an extensive database of soil and geologic conditions throughout southern California.
We are a California -certified Small Business Enterprise (SB -Micro and SB -PW). IFE staff size ranges from approximately 10 to 15 salary and hourly employees, depending on season and workload between our main office in San Jacinto and our satellite office in Palm Desert. We employ two registered civil and geotechnical engineers, a certified engineering/professional geologist, staff geologist, field/laboratory technicians and special construction inspectors.

We have developed a reputation for common -sense and cost effective geotechnical and materials testing solutions to the unique needs of each project. We are responsive and proactive in o ur communication so that potential issues or conflicts are resolved quickly.

IFE provides the following primary services.

Geotechnical Engineering

including subsurface exploration, liquefaction analysis, foundation engineering, evaluation of earth -retraining structures and excavations, slope stability evaluation, and septic system design.

Engineering Geology

including earthquake fault studies, groundwater studies, and rippability evaluation.

Soil and Materials Testing

including field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt concrete, aggregates, structural steel and masonry.

Construction Inspection

(ICC/ACI/AWS) including concrete inspection and test cylinder fabrication, batch plant inspection (concrete and asphalt concrete), structural steel welding inspection (shop & field welding), and reinforced masonry inspection.
